When the school year starts, in partnership with our Hamster group, more than 2000 boxes of school supplies of all kind are prepared and given to families in need all around the province.
It is our way to support the Maman Dion Foundation, whose mission it is to offer, at the start of the school year, school supplies, glasses and clothes to families in need. The objective is to foster and support the academic success, self-confidence and the desire to shoot for the stars for young Québécois from underprivileged environments.
And judging by the smiles of the children upon receiving their bags in our stores, we can proudly say « Mission Accomplished! »
The foundations of the Sherbrooke Region schools are integral to youngsters academic success by permitting the realization of initiatives aimed at increasing academic perseverance. As this is a cause that we take at heart, we have built a program aimed at giving back to these foundations in the past several years.
In stride with its promise to help these foundations, Mégaburo pledges 10% of all school supplies purchases from parents whose children attend participating schools. Ask your school for more information!
